Dr. Anne B. Richards
Dr. Richards was born and raised in McPherson, Kansas. She received a B.S. in Biology from Kansas State University, graduating cum laude. Thereafter, Dr. Richards received her dental degree (DDS) from the University of Iowa, College of Dentistry, graduating first in her class. Afterwards, she received a Master of Science degree and graduate training in Orthodontics from the University of Iowa.
Following graduation, Dr. Richards taught at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry where, in addition to clinical supervision of students, she authored several web projects, published several articles on orthodontics, and authored a chapter in an orthodontic text book. Dr. Richards continues to lecture to various groups about innovations in orthodontic treatment.
Dr. Richards has been in private practice in the Quad City area since 1998. She is currently active in the Rock Island District Dental Society, the Illinois Society of Orthodontists, the American Association of Orthodontists and the Illinois Damon Study Club.
Dr. Richards is married to Dr. Brian Richards, a pediatric dentist. They have two children, Brandon and Makena, who are active in many activities throughout the year. Dr. Richards enjoys spending time with family and friends in her spare time.
Dr. Michelle McManus
Dr. McManus was born and raised here in the Quad Cities. She grew up in Taylor Ridge and after graduating from Rockridge High School, she started her college education at Black Hawk College. Dr. McManus continued on to Western Illinois University, where she graduated, summa cum laude, with her Bachelor of Science degree. After working for several years, Dr. McManus decided to pursue a career in dentistry. She attended the University of Iowa, College of Dentistry and graduated first in her dental class. Dr. McManus went on to complete her orthodontic specialty training at the University of Iowa and during her residency,
she had several research articles published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
In 2011, Dr. McManus earned the distinction of becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. In addition to being Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, Dr. McManus is dedicated to continuing her education through seminars, courses and professional organizations. She is currently active in the Rock Island District Dental Society, the Illinois Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. McManus joined Quad City Orthodontics in 2010 and is proud to work with the extraordinary team at QCO. Dr. McManus and her husband, Mike, are excited to be back home and have the opportunity to be involved in the community that they love so much.
