MOLINE — Tracy Sant Amour does not want to think about the end but her five Moline girls' basketball seniors know it is inevitable.

Those five Maroons have been together on the basketball court from the time they started playing in Moline's youth program as third graders — some dating all the way back to kindergarten.

"They are so tight, almost like sisters," said Sant Amour, the Maroons; second-year varsity coach. "It is amazing to see. They each have their own ways but they fit together so well."

So when the Moline wrestler knew Davenport Central would forfeit at 160 pounds, coach Jacob Ruettiger asked Terronez if he wanted to bump up and face undefeated Levon Bellemy.

“Our guys wrestled well,” Ruettiger said. “They came out with a purpose and executed that. Up and down the lineup, I was very pleased with their performances.”

Moline clobbered Bettendorf (50-17), Davenport North (61-9), Pleasant Valley (51-16), Davenport Central (58-6) and Davenport West (68-7). The Maroons racked up 29 pins, four technical falls and four major decisions while only getting pinned twice in five duals
